Major technical decisions have long-term consequences. We provide strategic guidance on architecture, technology choices, and roadmap planning. Whether you need expert advice on vendor selection, technical due diligence, fractional CTO-type leadership, or architectural guidance, we help you make decisions grounded in real-world experience and your specific business needs.
Advisory Services
Architecture Design
Design system architecture that scales with your business while minimizing complexity. Especially beneficial for:
Teams deciding between a monolith and microservices;
Products where every new feature breaks existing logic;
Systems that slow down or fail as data and traffic grow.
What you receive: a written architecture recommendation with the trade-offs of each option and a step-by-step path from where you are today.
Vendor & Tool Selection
Objective evaluation of platforms, frameworks, and tools. Recommendations based on your needs, not vendor hype. Especially beneficial for:
Companies choosing new software or a platform;
Teams locked into a tool that no longer fits;
Decision-makers comparing proposals they can't fully evaluate on their own.
What you receive: a side-by-side comparison of the options against your requirements, with costs, risks, and a clear recommendation.
Technical Roadmapping
Plan your technical initiatives. Prioritize work that delivers business value and reduces risk. Especially beneficial for:
Growing companies that have outgrown their initial technical decisions;
Companies whose legacy systems need modernization;
Non-technical founders or executives who need someone to translate technical jargon into plain language and choose the right direction for the company.
What you receive: a quarter-by-quarter roadmap with milestones, priorities, trade-offs, risks, and vendor and technology recommendations.
Technical Due Diligence
Evaluate acquisition targets or partnership opportunities from a technical perspective. Especially beneficial for:
Clients acquiring a software product or company;
Companies evaluating a technology partner before signing;
Companies preparing for a sale or a funding round.
What you receive: an independent report on code quality, architecture, scalability, and technical debt, with the technical risks you should know about.
Fractional CTO
Executive-level technical leadership and strategic guidance for companies without a full-time CTO. Especially beneficial for:
Startups that need senior technical leadership before they can hire a CTO;
Non-technical founders managing developers or agencies;
Companies between CTOs or growing faster than their tech team.
What you receive: a part-time technical leader who sets the company's IT direction, reviews key decisions, and guides your team.
Technology Strategy
Build long-term technology strategy aligned with business goals and market evolution. Especially beneficial for:
Companies planning new products or entering new markets;
Leadership teams aligning technology spending with business goals;
Businesses deciding what to build, buy, or outsource.
What you receive: a written technology strategy with priorities, investment areas, and build-versus-buy recommendations tied to your business goals.
How WeWork
A transparent, predictable process from first contact to ongoing support
Roadmap
01 – Discovery
We start by listening. Please call us, send an email, or book a video call. We’d like to hear about the project you want to build or the problem you would like to solve, what you’ve tried so far, and any deadlines or budget constraints. If we need to look at your existing project before recommending a direction, we’ll discuss that next step with you.
Initial call to discuss your goals and constraints
Review of existing systems or requirements
02 – NDA
An NDA is a document designed to protect your ideas, business plans, and any other sensitive information you can’t discuss with everyone.
While the NDA is listed as the second step in this workflow, it can be signed at any point, even before the discovery call. It doesn’t cost you anything, so please feel free to ask for it whenever necessary.
03 – Proposal
After evaluating your requirements, we send you a proposal. Normally, that’s a Master Service Agreement (MSA) plus a Scope of Work (SoW).
The MSA sets out the general terms of how we work together. Each Statement of Work (SoW) then defines the scope, responsibilities, timeline, and pricing for a specific engagement.
The SoW is where we define the project, timeline, budget, acceptance criteria, and everything else not covered by the MSA.
If you decide to give us more work (and why not, we’re quite good at IT), we don’t sign another MSA. We simply sign a new SoW under the same MSA.
04 – Engagement
Once agreed, we get to work.
The SoW sets out what we’ll deliver, the timeline, and our responsibilities. We’ll keep you updated as the work progresses and discuss any issues that could affect delivery.
05 – Delivery
We deliver the work defined in the Statement of Work (SoW) and review it with you against the agreed acceptance criteria. Depending on the engagement, this may include deploying software, handing over code and documentation, or presenting findings and recommendations.
Software Development projects: full code ownership, no licensing or royalties. 30 days of code warranty included.
06 – Support
Support is optional and mainly applies to software development projects rather than advisory engagements.
If you need help after launch or ongoing software maintenance, we can discuss retainer options. You decide whether you’d like us to stay involved after delivery.
Ongoing maintenance and bug fixes as needed
Flexible support agreements, no long-term lock-in
Direct line back to the team that built it
